Words to Hold You When You’re Carrying Too Much
Every once in a while, during my blind journaling practice, something comes through that feels less like writing and more like being spoken to. This one arrived with a quiet strength — tender, reassuring, and somehow wiser than my own thoughts. It felt like a message meant to be shared, not kept. So I’m offering it here, exactly as it came.
Rest, sweet child. Go easy on yourself. Lay it in my hands.
I have plans for you. I need you to experience this. I know it seems familiar. I know what it is triggering.
Trust me.
Trust in who I am and what I want for you.
It is OK to make mistakes, slip up – even do something stupid. Maybe you spent too much time not doing those things.
You’ve tried the conventional path. But you, my dear, are not conventional. Despite the values you hold dear. You are different. You are special. You are love.
Not everyone can match that energy. This is not their fault and it is not your fault. I gave you a gift many others do not possess. You have an understanding deeper than most.
That’s why you feel guilty when you experience emotions deeply. But that is part of your gift – your ability to relate.
So when the anger, jealousy, sadness, or loneliness creeps in, it is OK to feel it. It is OK to not always be perfect. You can forgive yourself.
I put a lot on your plate – both painful and magical.
Just be. Just trust. Just love.
